The prints presently available is a joint effort between Garry and his son,
Christopher, with Christopher being the artist. He does all sketching
on antler and bone. Since 1997, he has also started to put his passions on
paper, and paint boards. He has 20 paintings so far and Garry decided
that it was time for his work to be shared and appreciate by more than the
family. Being employed as a naval architect, Chris never had time to
keep up with demand from a large family, so now they, as well as you, can
pick and choose from the prints available. They are in three sizes to meet
the needs of all customers.

The Wiskey Jacks
I have always been fond of these birds, and they always provide great
company in the woods. I captured some close up pictures of these one
fall moose hunting, and decided to do a painting of them. They are a
reminder to anyone who's spent time in the Newfoundland Outdoors that
the animals of the forest can be great company if you just spot to
admire them and pay a bit of attention.

The Goose
Is one of the first paintings I did, I was living in Ottawa at the
time, it was an acrylic painting. I guess I was inspired by all the
geese I saw
while living there, coming from Newfoundland I was amazed at how close
I could get to them and how many there were.

Salmon Print
I was inspired to do
this painting because it has a little bit of everything in it for me. It
was a fishing trip with my father and uncle, it was two salmon that my
father and I caught, and a trout. It shows a fine days catch with a
bit of variety, and I believe it pretty much sums up what an ideal day
of fishing is. I also wanted create a painting for my grandfather
that included an Atlantic salmon and brook trout. He's fished all his
life and truly loves the sport. |

Cow Head Harbor
The painting of the two fishing boats and a lone sea gull symbolize
the downsize in our fishery. I grew up in Cow Head and can remember
seeing the harbor full of boats with longliners tied up 2 or three
together for lack of wharf space. And hundreds of seagulls in the air
at anytime. Now it's rare to see that and more common to see one or
two boats and a sea gull or two. The picture to me is empty and
lonely like a lot or our outports these days.

The Moose
One of my earliest paintings, It was an arclyic painting. I love the
outdoors and I love animals. Most of my paintings are of wildlife,
and I am fascinated by moose so it was just appropriate to paint a
scene of a moose.
